HTC update said to open Android user data to app publishers

An HTC logging tool called HtcLoggers.apk -- pushed out automatically to Android phones including the Evo 3D 4G and Thunderbolt -- reportedly enables just about any app to access a wide array of user information, ranging from email addresses to GPS locations. Meanwhile, Android malware is hitching a ride on QR barcodes, directing users to Trojan-infected sites, say security researchers....
