Transparent solar charger to be built into touchscreen displays
French technology firm Wysips has developed a prototype of a smartphone display that doubles as solar charger, says an industry report. Due to arrive in phones and tablets as early as 2012, the technology adds a thin, transparent photovoltaic film on top of a mobile display, and can fully charge a cellphone battery in six hours of outdoor light, claims the company....
