Per a settlement between the NFL and the players' union, Jackson must be traded before 4 p.m. Wednesday in order to have his current suspension reduced from six games to four games. He's already sat out two of three required games on his personal conduct policy suspension. But if he is not traded by the deadline, he'll have to serve an additional three games as a result of the Chargers placing him on the roster exempt list because of his contract holdout. If he is traded, that suspension drops from three games to one game and Jackson would be eligible to play in the fifth game of his new team's season.
